UMMAF/KICK International General Assembly Announced

The United Stated Mixed Martial Arts KICK International Federation is proud to announce it’s scheduled General Assembly meeting, that will take place during the 2019 UMMAF National Tournament on Thursday, February 28th at the Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace, Michigan.

All UMMAF members in good standing are invited to attend. Members in good standing are those athletes and coaches who have joined UMMAF/KICK International and have paid their $35 membership fee within one calendar year from the date of the General Assembly. Members must also not be under suspension at the time of the General Assembly.

The purpose of the General Assembly is to notify UMMAF/KICK International membership of the health and status of the organization, a recap of the previous years activities, and the goals for the upcoming year. The current UMMAF Board of Directors will also be asking for the memberships’ permission to establish several committees as required by the Ted Stevens Olympic Sports Act.

UMMAF Vice President Ryan Brueggeman says, “This is a very important step in the governance of our organization. UMMAF belongs to it’s members and it’s up to the members to guide the Board of Directors in it’s direction. It is critically important that the members of UMMAF/KICK International become informed on the needs for Olympic recognition and the organization itself. It will also provide the membership information on how to get involved with UMMAF on a governance level and be at the forefront of our goals of unifying our amateur rules nationwide.”

Brueggeman went on to say, “For years, one thing we have continuously heard is ‘What is UMMAF and what is your purpose?’ and it’s time to address that at a membership level in this format. I sincerely hope that athletes and coaches will attend this important event. The success of our organization depends on it’s members!”
